Mission Squash—Sport as Subversion
Mission Squash needed help with communicating a unique opportunity. They were essentially using the sport of squash, better known in the UK that in the States, as a “back door” entry for underserved students into Ivy League schools. Their athletic training also was paired with in-depth academic development and mentoring, but they first had to communicate they were not a quest to get people to eat more vegetables. Their marketing was a messy mangle of data and metrics and the heart of their mission was getting lost. StickWit unified and simplified the main brand messaging, enlivened the identity with energy and color, and created a brand image that would give students and their families not only hope for a new trajectory for their lives, but hope that unjust social systems could be changed as well.
